PREPARATION OF WATER QUALITY REPORT UNDER THE ISTANBUL DRINKING WATER AND SEWAGE MASTER PLAN

Scope: It is to determine the water quality of the existing and potential water resources and the streams feeding the resources, to evaluate the possibilities of using these resources and to propose measures to be implemented in order to improve their quality.

Within the scope of the study, Turkish and European Union Legislations were introduced; previous studies were examined; The physical and socioeconomic characteristics of the project area were determined; polluting sources in drinking water sources have been identified; The general limnological characteristics of the existing drinking water dam basins and the water quality conditions and odor conditions determined in situ by field studies are given. Water quality classes of existing and potential drinking water sources have been determined according to the relevant legislation. In the report, suggestions for measures to improve or maintain the condition of water resources were presented. In addition, recommendations were made regarding the establishment of a water quality monitoring program in existing and potential drinking water sources.
